Fine Gael has surged to 27%, as support for the party and the leadership of Simon Harris meets with approval from the general public.

Simon Harris is now the most popular party leader with an approval rating of 55%.

Fine Gael party is up four percentage points over the previous poll conducted early in the summer, shortly after Harris assumed office, according to an Irish Times/Ipsos survey.

Fianna Fáil is at 19% (down one) and Sinn Féin is at 20% (down three).

Mary Lou McDonald, the head of Sinn Féin, has lost 36% of the vote.

The Green Party leads the smaller parties with 5% (up one), followed by Labour with 6% (up one), and the Social Democrats with 4% (up one).

Support for Aontú (on 1%), and People Before Profit (on 2%), both stayed the same.

Currently, 20% of voters are unsure who they would vote for in the event of a General Election being called.
