So, Biden finally quit the US presidential race on July 21st, with a statement posted on his personal X Account, this comes weeks after telling the world that he would not pull out of the race for President.
Even more strangely was that President Biden didn't hold a press statement, nor did he go to the TV cameras, even his campaign team found out at the same time that Joe had finally bowed out, and the only way the media discovered this huge news was from the simple statement posted on X.
Of course, the pressure to quit had been building since the disastrous Presidential debate with Donald Trump weeks previous, then after a week of news about the failed assassination of President Trump one would have thought the pressure was finally off Joe with all focus on Donald Trump and the Republican Congress.
It's evident however that some internal wrangling had to be ongoing within the Democratic Party, Joe's disastrous Presidential debate followed up with more live gaffs such as Calling Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Russian President Putin was the final straw for some.
We will never know however if Joe was pushed, made his own choice, or was heavily advised to leave the campaign, however, we do know that the polls showed that he was not only going to lose the election but lose it heavily, reports also indicated the funding had almost dried up and some of his most trusted supporters were calling for him to quit the race and move over for someone younger.
It's been a sad end to a long political career for President Biden, With just over 6 months of his Presidency left it looks like he will end his time as President shrouded with more questions than praise.
President Trump quickly jumped onto his platform Truth Social and called out President Biden.
" Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t - And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
