Buddhism has a reputation as a very pacifist creed. But when push comes to shove, some of its adherents are more than capable of swinging a few hooks. Ashin Wirathu is a Buddhist Monk and Burmese patriot. While some of his more authoritarian predilections, such as favouring restrictions on interfaith marriages, wouldn't exactly sit easy with me, he is undoubtedly a pragmatist and a realist on the matter of Islam.
