Apparently just two Irish people fought for the German army in WW2 and not just in the Wehrmacht, they both ended up in the SS.
They both seemed to have bumbled into it largely through drinking too much, they joined the British Army and were imprisoned for alcahol induced carry on in the Channel Islands when the Germans took them over and ended up joining up with the Germans.
They both survived the war, one wounded in the Battle of Berlin, were imprisoned for a number of years for being a member of the SS and ended up back in Ireland in the early 50s still in their early thirties after which there is no record of them.

Sounds like a Carry on film!

I wonder what happened to them, could have had a great book deal.
