Both are opinions.
As the guardian did not fear Russia prior to November 2016, I have to ask where this new-fangled phobia came from.
Once again I would favour the opinion of the Guardian over some randomer off the internet.

Tell me, do you think that you have a more informed opinion than the Guardian?

I think you underestimate the intelligence of the people of this world.

Can you detail their reasons as to why Russia is a threat?

No.

At the risk of being repetitive, my question is.

Do you think you know more or are better informed than the Guardian on this issue.

Thats all I need to know.
Well, on record, I've disagreed with the Guardian on several stances and have since been vindicated, so yes.

They backed Remain. I opposed. They lost.
They backed Syrian "rebels". I backed Assad. They lost.
They opposed Trump. I backed Trump. They lost again.

I put in the phrase “on this issue” for a reason, my friend

Western newspapers don't really have 'opinions'. Much like Western TV News channels they parrot the US State Department/Zionist/British establishment line when the subject is geopolitics.

Yes, I believe on this issue they are wrong.
They are pushing an agenda.
An ironic agenda for leftists, considering hatred for Russia was traditionally the battle-cry of Neocons and Washington/Whitehall conservatives.
As regards The Guardian's Leftism, I did a thread a while ago on someone breaking down to the four main groups that make up the Left in Western Europe, they were;

"1.Socialists, consisting of public employees, union members, blue collar workers, mainly drawn from the indigenous white population. This is the left which has a strong class identity or whose history is one of class identity and party loyalty. The aim of this left is primarily the material advancement of the “working class,” the wage earner and the protection of jobs by the state.
2.“Progressives,” feminists, affluent majority Caucasian articulate high professional, liberal, articulate, successful: the entrepreneur, the opinion maker, the high flier, the artist, the journalist, most politicians. This group is well-to-do and tends to enjoy the high remuneration of the professional. The aim of this left is the advancement of progressive causes, such as feminism, the rights of refugees, environmental protection.
3.Immigrants, freeloaders, “minority activists,” “racial minorities,” long-term benefit recipients. Generally speaking, this is the least politically active left grouping, but a reliable and constitutes the largest and fast growing electoral base of the four groups. This group is principally interested in the protection and advancement of its material position and protection and support by the state in the form of subsidies and benefits.
4.Antifa, “black bloc,” nihilists, international anarchists. The aims of this group are best expressed in negatives: no barriers, no limits, no rules, the destruction of all differences and limits, rejection and subversion of authority and order in all its forms."

The Guardian only represents the interests of the second group, has long given up caring about the first group and would throw the last two under the bus in a blink of an eye.

Its a bit of a stupid thread title. It makes no sense to demonise Russians.
I would hazard a guess that I do know and have in the past known more Russians than most people on this thread and fine solid people they are (other their (alongside Ukrainians a) tenancy to be homophobic and racist but I guess in this respect its just they are a few decades behind Western Europeans).

The only issue I have is that they tend to be wankers on holidays, anyone going somewhere where there are lots of Russian tourists (eg Turkey, Thailand, Cuba) will have come to the conclusion that Russian must rate as one of the worlds worst tourists, Ive had many experiences enduring loud aggressive Russian yob tourists.

Opposing Putin with his human rights abuses and his colonialist adventures in neighbouring countries does not equate to having an issue with Russians in general.

Russia and China are pragmatic powers building trade arteries and commercial highways right through Eurasia. Their attempts to be the sun of a new continental stability is undercutting and pushing out the volatile American Empire of Chaos. It's unsurprising hostility to Russia has become dogma in America in the present circumstances.

I think you met Gopnic's to be honest.
They flock to those places for their yearly holiday.
Russians are pretty standoffish at first and reserved to the point you think they're being rude.

Possibly, I've not had a lot of experience with Germans. Austrians are pretty reserved too but more friendly.
The French are proper arseholes, if you speak English they think you're English.
Avoid Air France like the plague if you can at all too.
