To return to the point though, Varadkar is the product of miscegenation. A mixed-race person can be Irish on account of the Irish parent, however I wager the Irish parent probably doesn't care much for Irish nationality based on the face they've been race-mixing with an Indian.

The blood and the land are paramount when it comes to any nationality but Irish nationality in particular. How can Varadkar ever have full dedication to Ireland when it's not innate in him? He was raised for a period in India, he is not of the Irish race and therefore his commitment to Ireland will never be absolute. However I won't begrudge Varadkar for something he could never control, - when he continues on the sell-out of Ireland it won't feel like such a treachery as when Bertie or another Irish premier did. He believes he's doing what's best for Ireland because his very notion of Ireland was corrupted from his birth - the others have no excuse.

You don't seem to understand that in real life things are not always straight forward. I don't know anything at all about his parents; do you? For all I know they could hard line Gaelgeori. Of course someone's biological inheritance is tremendously important- I never denied that. However there are always other factors at work. Miscegenation as you put it is not the threat that White Nationalists love to make out that it is because the vast majority of people are attracted, especially when it comes to marriage and having kids, to people that look, think and feel similar to them. Someone even told me that in the area of Ireland where they are from people of Norman descent invariably marry other people of Norman descent. The reason that White Nationalism is such a big thing in the United States but in France and Italy is because the French and the Italians actually a Culture while as outside of bland consumerism and the poisonous myths surrounding the sordid rebellion of Britain's American colonies all that most Yanks have to fall back on in terms of Identity is their skin colour. Also Enda Kenny is a pure blooded Gael- if pure bloodedness was enough he should in Republican Sinn Fein or something.

There is a middle ground between Civic and White Nationalism.

i think you can grow up very Irish, culturally, mentally, emotionally, & be committed, but u cannot ignore yr other ethnic heritage obviously, or ancestry, as the 'New Irish' to Ireland, are demanding we all do. & you can be a traitor full stop, i.e. Coveney's connection with Sutherland & Bilderberg would be treason to me. The special ingredients of Loyalty and Integrity are precious, & the dream in a leader. What stuns me is how many can be 'bought off', to betray the country of their birth & ancestors.

I have to say that when people lose their native language, they can usually be bought very cheaply. Ireland is an extraordinary fragile concept at this stage. I'm not saying it's not real - it's very real - but very very fragile. The anti-Irish elements have been trying to destroy the Gaelic core of Ireland for centuries. They are hoping that mass immigration will finally put Gaelic Ireland in the grave. Olli here and Young Student and a couple of others here have admitted that that's the day they long for. Over on p.ie I'd say about half the posters openly admit that they want to see the end of Gaelic Ireland, and for Ireland to be 100% within the Anglosphere.

Well maybe they are protestant? & there ancestors are British., or they feel British. There are plenty of others who match & outnumber them & are committed to Ireland, & they are putting their children in Gaelscoil. I cannot see why Ollie would want mass immigration either way, as the UK has been destroyed in many cities, e.g. Birmingham, with Sharia courts, Burqas, & no go areas, all of which are Banned in most European countries. Maybe they need to visit these areas & be careful what they wish for.

If you haven't already done so, I'd say that this would be a good time to write to your TD and specifically mention Manchester. It won't be so easy to dismiss you now.

Tadhg it is with regret (although not surprise) that I can report that not a single one of the 5 TD's I emailed that letter to has responded.

Same here. The cowardice of these politicians is incredible. Still, I think it was worth sending the letters. At least they can't honestly claim that nobody expressed any concern to them.

Well Tadhg as I said before out of the 5 TD's I emailed at least I got a response from FF, FG & Lab. Nothing from SF or Clare Daily. Well last night Ms Daly walked into the bar with about 8 hangers on. Says I "Ms Daly, I sent you an email a while back but I never got a response". She was so apologetic and attentive and took my name down. "So what was it in relation to Mr O'Reilly?" Its about the unsustainable mass immigration into Fingal says I. Well her demeanour changed in a flash. Stuttering and stammering she said I'll try to get back to you on it and with that she was away.

    What a dozy bint

Lol. that's a funny story. I sent the letter to all the TDs in my area by I only got stock replies from FF and FG, nothing at all from Labour, SF or the Trots.
