Mondragon is a way to run a collection of co-ops, and any third way ideas interesting. Its not necessarily going to solve any problems in Ireland.

There are many Irish companies that have some similarities to co-op's, without being run like ones, like giving non/vested shares over a number of years, eg.. profit sharing/buy in, and give good wages.

The state does not care about small and medium sized companies. Why would they, its much easier to deal with 10 mega corporations then a 1000 small and medium sized companies.
Ten phone calls and the fuckers job is done for the day.

You open your doors to globalists, you will get run by politicians that support globalism and so promote monopoly capitalism.

Economic nationalism - Wikipedia was the way countries worked in the past, and it took gun boat diplomacy of a colonial powers like the brits to knock down those walls and take what they wanted.
The new form of colonialism is globalism, and all they have to do is get the politicians/media on board and open the gates for them.

    No its not.
Capitalism is fundamentally the only system that advances humanity. The basic principle is that if you are highly capable, highly motivated, highly intelligent, highly skilled, highly anything you will innovate and work your arse off and create wealth. But you will only do that if you will profit from it.
A functional Capitalist system will let the productive people loose to do their stuff, create wealth for themselves and then the state can cream off in Tax some of that wealth to help those in society less capable or less motivated to look after themselves.

Every single attempt at socialism has been a calamity, the capable people no longer bother to put the effort in to use their IQ or motivation to create anything and the state then has no wealth to cream off to hand out as it sees fit resulting in everyone being poor.

Anyone who has been to a communist or ex-communist country will see this - by default everyone puts f*ck all effort into their work, I've seen this in every Communist or ex-Communist country I've been in.

Cuba is hilarious, anyone who goes there will be able to spot a state employees - they are the people whose work rate resembles an asthmatic slug. Its ridiculous, in the state shops you find yourself going "FFS Ill scan these items myself" as its like looking at paint dry watching an employee in a state shop scanning your shopping at the pace of an unusually lazy sloth.
Meanwhile you can venture out of that suffocating Communist shite to the nascent Capitalistic system in Cuba where people work for themselves and make profit for themselves and the difference in the effort they put into their work is overwhelming. You see it everywhere there.
Capitalism is the way forward for Cuba.

Laughable delusion. You tell me you are some sort of technician. And that you've been a teacher of that technical subject during your time. Of course, you didn't need Capitalism for that. Maybe you have a few Shekels more now than you would have had under a Socialist government, but look around you. England is a wasteland because of Capitalism. Was it worth the total destruction of England so that you could have a few extra Shekels in your pocket?

But that's not at all what happens. Companies like Google and Facebook are not innovative. Their business model is based on stealing all the private information from individuals and companies that they can - and then selling it on to corporations and governments. They are a Capitalist KGB or Stasi.

That's because your brain is fried with non-stop junk images on your mobile phone - and you think the real world should be the same as the fantasy world on your phone. I mean look at the standard of what you write on this website - its below retarded. You need to slow down a bit and start thinking. That's the problem with all of your generation. You replaced intellect with "speed." And why were you even in a hurry in Cuba? Does that not show how completely distorted and disjointed your brain has become? What did you have to do in Cuba that required speed? That's right, absolutely nothing.

Yes, so they can be just like the Capitalist Utopia of Haiti. Do you ever even think of the garbage you write? It's laughable that you are out protesting with the EDL against mass immigration - but you are a slave to the very system that creates mass immigration - Capitalism. You really are a hilarious individual.

What are you sending multiple replies for Im not going to reply to multiple posts one by one.

Bringing up Haiti is a complete strawman, I never mentioned Haiti. The problems of Haiti derive largely from the spectacular misrule of the Duvaliers, there is no one anywhere who will suggest that Haiti is an example of a well run capitalist system.

The simple fact is that no one gives a toss in socialist countries, there is no incentive for anyone to work hard, to make the most of their aptitudes and abilities. As such everything is crap, nothing works and everyone is poor. Its a pattern we see in 100 per cent of cases.

The only reason the USSR wasnt a total economic basket case like a big version of Cuba is the abundant free national resources it got out of the ground. The only reason China is starting to prosper is that it is adopting capitalism.

It's not just about Haiti. You could mention Guatemala either. 80% of those people living under Capitalism live in extreme poverty. Capitalism doesn't work for them, or their countries. The USSR was a very well run state, with tiny debt and abundant resources. If the 80% who live in extreme poverty under Capitalism today lived under the USSR, they would think they had gone to Paradise. But you keep on going on you EDL marches to complain about mass immigration - while cheering on what's driving mass immigration. That's about as far as your logic extends.

An example of the blatant failure of Capitalism - even in imperialist countries like England - is a report in the Financial Times today. Desperate Millennials, who even though they are working full time jobs, have no opportunity to buy a home and settle down. Some of them had pinned their hopes on their Bitcoin winnings. But, the banks won't accept a deposit on a home that came from Bitcoin. They cite money laundering fears. An example is given of one civil servant who converted his Bitcoin winnings into 40,000 English pounds. No bank would accept the money as a deposit on a home. So, here we have a young man, who more than likely graduated from university, has a full time civil service job - and still can't afford a home - even with a Bitcoin windfall. And some lunatic above tries to claim that the Soviet Union was a badly run society

The bit in bold is the only bit that kept the USSR afloat. It was a petro state. It was well run in the sense that the Gulf states are well run - it must be - they have great public services and lots of shiny architecture and no national debt.
Lets all follow the Gulf states model of governance then.
No wait - like the USSR it wont work without abundant free money coming out of the ground.

So you admit that the Soviet Union did work and it had "great public services." Good. That's a step forward. But are you now claiming that all states that have oil are well run? I hardly think so. Nigeria is a very wealthy oil state. But it is a Capitalist state, and so is in shit.

No I must definitely not state that the USSR had "great public services", I said Saudi Arabia has.
The public services that the USSR had were not great at all.

Re Nigeria - it is not a Capitalist state.
The fundamental requirements for Capitalism are 1) Rule of Law 2) Rights of property ownership and 3) Equality of opportunity.
If I could be bothered typing the arguments in I would argue that Nigeria fulfils none of the above.

Lol. you are like those Trots who say that the USSR didn't have "real Communism." You people see Capitalism failing - and immediately you crow "Oh that's not real Capitalism." Sure, Youngdan tells us that the USA is now a Socialist state.

Well, the game is up for you. Capitalism has failed everywhere. It only continues on a life support system of cheap immigrant labour - which, ironically, you claim to be against

    No Capitalism has not failed.
Overwhelmingly Capitalism has been successful in lifting the world out of poverty.

No country can be said to have failed because of Capitalism. Countries moving in the direction of Capitalism who have failed/are failing are doing so because they have moved away from the tenets of Capitalism, ie where the rule of law is not being enforced and/or where property rights are not being enforced and/or because they have moved towards the failed socialist big Government model of attempting to enforce equality of outcome over the Capitalist model of creating equality of opportunity (leaving the individual to make the most of that opportunity for themselves as per their abilities/skills/work ethic/luck).

Recent problems in the West are derived from Governments who have ignored / are ignoring the rule of law as it applies to big businesses and who have then decided to introduce Socialism for those big businesses that failed. Nothing to do with Capitalism whatsoever. Blame incompetent/corrupt/useless politicians not Capitalism.

You can keep spinning that yarn to yourself that was old and stale when Maggie Thatcher was vomiting it out. Now it's just laughable. You make yourself sound like a senile old dotard. Just take a look around you. You are surrounded by Muslim cheap labour. Why? Because that's the only life support system left for Capitalism. If you love Capitalism - then you love Muslim mass immigration.

Dont blame Capitalism for mass immigration.
Under Capitalism if your business can't recruit staff in the local market at whatever rate you can afford to pay them you either invest and innovate to increase productivity so you can afford to pay more and therefore recruit from the available labour pool or else you go bust.
And when you go bust some more efficient competitor that can operate without that cheap labour steps in and takes over your market share.

Any immigration policy intended to provide cheap labour for non-viable businesses is not Capitalism, that's more of that Socialism for big businesses which has become a thing in recent years.

You really are fooling yourself. Ask any Capitalist and he will tell you that he couldn't survive without cheap migrant labour. IBEC wants to increase the population of the 26 counties to 10 million through mass immigration.

Of course anyone with a business would want to be able to recruit cheaper staff. No one says no to free handouts being doled out by the state. Thats equally true of those on Social Welfare and business owners.
If I ran a business and the Government told me I could recruit people from abroad at less than I am paying for local staff I'd be delighted to take them up on the offer.

    That Is not Capitalism.

Under Capitalism the state leaves business to run their own business, the state doesn't regulate them out of existence and doesn't help them if they are in a fix. Business sink or swim on their own merits, abilities and efficiencies.

What we need is more Capitalism and an end to Croney Capatilism where the state implements policy to help out their pals in business. Government should keep away from businesses, people running their businesses is nothing to do with the Government under Capitalism and certainly the Government distorting the labour market to favour business comes under the heading Croney Capitalism. Don't blame Capitalism for it.
