A Shrewd and Mature Statesman, who impresses his fellow world leaders.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was “shrewd and mature” and had won the latest standoff with the West over his nuclear and missile programs.

“I think that Mr. Kim Jong Un has obviously won this round. He has completed his strategic task: he has a nuclear weapon, he has missiles of global reach, up to 13,000 km, which can reach almost any point of the globe,” Putin told Russian journalists at a televised meeting.

Russia has voted at the United Nations in favor of international sanctions against North Korea over its nuclear program, while urging the West to show restraint and calling for talks over the issue.

Putin reiterated that dialogue with North Korea was warranted, and said Kim now wanted to calm the situation.

“He is already a shrewd and mature politician,” Putin said.

North Korea and South Korea held talks on Tuesday after a prolonged period of tension on the Korean peninsula over the North’s missile and nuclear programs.

Does this site really need another Korean thread?

The only difference is an extra 25 lbs.

Fire ahead I suppose, if there is a war I will return.

Maybe a meeting between the Most Respected President and Kim will occur. And now I am certainly gone.

I had to laugh before when over yonder L'Chaim said Russia and Israel were 'great allies'

One only has to see the anti-Putin hostility from the ZioShills all over the place to know that whilst that may be Israel's official position, it's nonsense, as Putin has snapped the back of US/Israeli hegemony in the Middle East, and Israel is furious, but utterly impotent in the face of Russian power!

Well, yes, little Kim is as safe as one can be from the US Empire of Chaos. He's all nuked up and creatures like Trump's lot lizard "Nikki Haley" can only nibble at the edges of NK with these cowardly sanctions.

As for Putin, in contrast to the bizarre clowns and abnormal schizos governin' the West, he's proven an insightful and pragmatic executive. His living example gives one hope that one day the West will abandon its current lunacy and return to the era where at least one had pragmatc men governing us.

Yes, Putin did underestimate the American/EU terrorist attempts to seize Ukraine, destroy the bipartisan foreign policy of Yanukovych and steer it towards being American forward outpost against Russia. However once that crisis unfolded Putin responded swiftly and with admirable patience contained that conflict so much so that the Europeans can't wait but repair relations with Russia.

He should've contacted Irish republicans to learn a thing or two about how well how Anglo-terrorists engineer proxy wars to expand their Empire of Chaos.

South Korean President, Moon Jae-in.

South Korean President, Moon Jae-in, says he's open to direct one to one talks with Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. The announcement can only be seen as a serious blow to Trump's dream of isolating the DPRK. This announcement comes hot on the heels of bilateral talks between the DPRK and South Korea last week, which resulted in promises to co-operate on the Olympic Games and other projects.

Oddly enough the South Korean President doesnt agree with Putin and instead credits Trump for bringing about these talks which are diffusing tensions on the peninsula.

“I give President Trump huge credit for bringing about the inter-Korean talks, and I’d like to thank him for that,” [South Korean President Moon Jae-in] said at a news conference in Seoul.

Lol. the DPRK is happy to talk to anyone any time. But, it will not allow any threats or preconditions. The nuclear armed power of the DPRK is a fact of life that will not change. The fact that South Korea is now talking to the DPRK without preconditions shows that Putin is right. The Respected Marshal has achieved all of his geopolitical goals.

North and South Korea have agreed to field a united hockey team for this Year's Winter Olympics and march together under a unified Korean flag. A fantastic achievement for the Respected Marshal and the Korean people in general. This move puts Trump and his UN strumpet into check mate, as their hopes of isolating the DPRK crumble before their eyes.

With less than a month to go before the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea, leaders of the North and South have agreed to form a joint Olympic hockey team and march together at the opening ceremony under one unified flag, as reported by the AP.

......Except when he completely ignores your 'glorious' 1917 Revolution...

No, as I said, Putin heads a régime that more or less keeps the Oligarchs under some kind of control. It's a very limited position, but it's the best he is able to do. Having an official celebration of the glorious October Revolution would raise some very uncomfortable questions - like why do we have to be ruled by Oligarchs at all.
