It seems to come quicker each year/

I keep trying to hold the line t hat it is for kids, thus saving the hassle of gifts for grown-ups.

Will end  up getting a fistful of booktokens

Same for me this year, as long as the Kids are happy ill just be glad to settle down after Christmas dinner with a few drinks and rest.

Agree though, it seems to get earlier each year!

Whats the weather for Ireland this Christmas?

I miss snow and the cold at Christmas time, over here its not the same with the sun and beach. Strange but not the same.

I hope none of you make complete pigs of yourselves on Christmas eve, Christmas day or New Years. All of ya sound like complete hedonistic party animals from the short time I've been here. Swinging from a chandelier of some description, falling through coffee tables, bashing the keys on the family piano like you just don't give a damn anymore! Seriously go easy on the alcohol. Damn, its exciting just typing on this forum. Going for a lie down.

Rural on this site knows her way around turkeys.

My own signature dish is opening and pouring a packet of muesli

When we had a Lab he used to get very excited when  he saw me embarking on that complicated operation as some muesli always ended on the floor

We have had a lot of wind and rain, and flooding in the main river basins

Mild now. light rain and wind in Mayo.   Heavier winds forecast tomorrow (wed) night, then back to mild weather for Christmas.   Up to 11 degrees at mid-day.

    White Christmas therefore unlikely

    You must be a DeeFour

Back here in the Real West we eschew hedonism, marxism, anti-disestablishmentism and all -isms at parties.
    Any body trying on the sort of thing will not be invited to the next BDSM party ( Bible Discussion Study Meeting }

Re for swinging from chandeliers, the old people said never to swing from anything you can't spell.

Coffee tables not needed in these parts.   A cup of strong tae in the hand will do anybody.

As for the piano, the sister came home from the States full of this political correctness.    Had issues about calling the keys either "white" or "black".    Had to change their names to "caucasian" and "african".   Youngest has given up piano due to this confusion.   Has taken to the bagpipes until PC wan goes back.

If you get your kicks from typing here, you don't need alcohol -  but you should talk to someone about your addiction to typing.

I expect discussion on American topics to dry up on both sites as most posters will not like what they see

Same, but I'm certainly seeing things slowing down dramatically here. Don't worry though, there'll likely be another server crash over yonder soon. ;)
