What kept him..
Jeff Sessions recommended he go.
This could be interesting. Ideally put in Trey Gowdy. It needs a serious investigator but maybe it will be just a stooge
Either way, it has got to be good.Somebody had the goodies on Comey anyway as he was just a puppet popping up on cue and not releasing anything. He was full of shit.
Of course we can hope that he was like Hoover and he will release a few videos. Unlikely he has the balls but we can hope.
We can hope the new guy now does something decent like arresting Weiner, that would be a nice start.
Tradition has that Director on a ten year stint. He always seemed a smug little character. And I doubt Comey will disappear into the night.
It's great he's gone of course.
I hope that he does not go quietly.
Does he have any law enforcement or legal expertise? From what I've read, the FBI were close to rebelling over Comey's handling of the E-mail situation. Perhaps Comey's replacement will have to come from within FBI?
I wonder why Trump made a point of mentioning in the letter that Comey told him on three occasions that he wasn't being investigated.
To show that the FBI knows that all the Russia bollocks is just that, bollocks?
I think so :)
Ah, that's a slam dunk "never". I burst out laughing at the other choices.
FBI director James Comey fired.
News from The Associated Press
Trump fires FBI Director Comey, setting off U.S. political storm
Colbert's audience cheers Comey's firing before being told how to feel about it.
Lol. Everybody has an agenda, even fucking comedians
Could it be Trump is finally draining the swamp?
Why did he wait to sack him, was he getting his pieces in order?
Most assuredly comedians. As the IQ falls their rolls in propaganda/culture shaping increases.
I can't see how Trump can ever be seen as draining swamps since he's surrounded himself with Goldman Sachs people. They are the guardians of the swamp.
It would have been more funny had he invited him to the oval office, sat behind his desk , pointed a finger and said.. you're FIRED!
Comey needed to go. He was a complete clown. His comportment reminded me of the kind of lazy kid at school with a slight smug expression etched on his face and was barely bothered to do a tap but mouth cheap platitudes.
But I think the abrupt, impersonal fashion in the way Trump sacked him will stoke a bigger backlash than needed to be the case. But maybe that's what he wants -- an unambiguous declaration of war on his enemies.
