I

Ihave no idea what her politics are and I don't care.she was trying to get help for her people while trump has been faffing around for nearly two weeks while God knows how many more people died
Well now you know she is a Clinton militant. She used the crisis in her jurisdiction as an opportunity to take a dig at Trump. We know this because she had those ridiculous fashion accessories made up. Executives in apocalyptic situations don't have time to design, manufacturer and pose about in politically charged T-shirt and caps for the cameras. What did she expect that Trump would take that in good grace? He should've risen above that nonsense from her of course but let's be not be naive about her own gross partisanship in this matter.

Her reality is she hates Trump and everything springs from that.
Here people have just flipped completely. It is called Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I don't think she has TDS. Kalipa is a cogent poster. It's just in this specific instance she saw the hatchet job , she saw the spliced and diced clip and this wound her up and she decided to dig in, give that hack politician a halo and won't consider the nuance here.

And the clip taken as a clip is damning!

But if one sees the full presser, it's classic Trump. Mostly praise for all concerned, he talked about the disaster budget which has been under severe stress due to several zero sum hurricanes and in his unfortunate freewheeling style used the death count to compare the crisis favourably with the extensive life lost in Katrina. Which, while true, sounded terrible.

But we need to get away from what I dub the Clinton syndrome here where we forgive/condemn policy-makers for being nice/rude in their speeches and gestures and instead focus, focus and focus some more on the repercussions on the policy-makers actions at executive level.

Many posters here just do not like him, reality be damned. The feds did a fantastic job in PR and anything less than 100 dying is a miracle after that hurricane wiped the place out.

This is more media-manufactured faux outrage. Puerto Rico is lower on the food chain than actual American states: It's a territory, Puerto Ricans pay no federal income tax and aren't eligible to vote in presidential and congressional elections. If they're not ponying up money for Texans or Floridians affected by hurricanes, there's no reason for us on the mainland to pony up for them. Period.

That said, PR is bankrupt and an economic basket case. Its most prominent exports are people and rum (and POS congressmen like Luis Gutierrez, a total open-borders turd). Democrats are lathered up to make PR the 51st state, so they can get another congressman and two senators, but enough Americans aren't stupid enough to let that happen. I think.

As far as TDS is concerned, the media have had the knives out for him from the getgo, as have the Republican establishment and the Dems. Just read analyses of the percentage of negative press coverage pertaining to Trump. The numbers are normally in the 90-percent range. How many times have the NY Times, Washington Post been forced to retract stories related to Trump in the past few months? Were Trump to have accomplished nothing during his presidency, at least one could to point to his having heavily damaged the unquestioned infallibility (and credibility) of the American media.

It really is a crying shame that Bannon was forced out. In spite of his strange antagonism towards Iran, he was otherwise the voice of reason re: our foreign policy towards Russia, Syria and North Korea. I believe the U.S. is headed for the abyss come hell or high water, but even without Bannon and his ilk Trump's presidency can at least forestall that.

I said I don't care what she is or her politics. Trump is the President of the world's superpower and he acts like a 5 year old stamping his foot. This is man who is in ccharge of the red button, fgs

Where was Trump and the US for 2 weeks after the hurricane while people were dying ? Those people living in the villages that are cut off atm still have no running water, little if any food, destroyed homes, no power etc. They reckon that there are a lot more people dead under their wrecked homes .

Very few here care about that , as long as they can worship a multi millionaire woman groper, who hasn't a bloody clue what is going on outside his golden lifestyle.

The quirk of the American system is that he has to go and negotiate more funds from the other politicians particularly as there has been several damaging hurricanes. He's not an autocrat with a pyramid of cash he can dispatch at the touch of a button even if a disaster has unfolded. This isn't a quirk of Trump's design but a rigmarole all Presidents have to go through in similar situations.

We may not care for this, that and the other. What we care for isn't really that meaningful though. In order to get a truthful reading of things, we need everything on the table here and her clowning around, looking chic in that designer kit, flags her as someone teed up to antagonise Trump rather than a diligent executive taking charge of rescue and reconstruction.

This is mental. A queue of women writing thank-you notes to Hillary and then Milie Cyrus comes on and balls her eyes out.

Man, did the world dodge a bullet when she lost or what? These braying morons in the media are the only ones keeping this hag's career on life support.

And one said thank you for your support of public health care, when Hillary is against single-payer

Another said thank you for 'sticking to the issues', when she done the complete opposite and based her whole campaign on 'not being Trump'.

FFS, do these people know anything....

A fat, selfish little warmongering gangster is all she is!

That's some pretty whackadoodle stuff. That really tests some thresholds of even American lunacy.

".....thank you for standing by your principles...even as people criticised you for trivial things such as your hair, your wardrobe and.. being gung all for knocking the planes of a nuclear power out of the sky. Can I give you a hug, gurl?"

President Trump's approval rating has sunk to a new low in a new Associated Press/NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey.
Thirty-two percent of Americans polled said they approved of Trump's handling of his job in office nine months into his presidency, while 67 percent of those polled said they disapproved.
The president's approval rating in the poll is down from 42 percent in March and 35 percent in June.

Trump also did not fare well among Americans who were asked if he understands their needs and problems.
Sixty-four percent of Americans said the president did not understand their needs "not very well" or "not very well at all."
Trump's job approval rating in the poll is lower than many released recently, as he is hovering around 40 percent in the RealClearPolitics average of such surveys.
The AP/NORC survey was conducted in late September and early October, at a time when the president was taking heat for his response to the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico.
The president stirred controversy when he attacked San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz on Twitter. Cruz had criticized the federal government's response to Hurricane Irma, which left virtually all of Puerto Rico without power.

Trump approval hits record-low 32 percent in AP poll
