ESB Networks has confirmed that electricity has now been fully restored to all customers impacted by Storm Éowyn, with the final reconnections completed after nearly three weeks without supply.
The storm, which struck on 24 January, left approximately 770,000 homes, farms, and businesses without power. Following extensive restoration efforts, all affected customers have now been reconnected.
ESB Networks continues to urge the public to remain vigilant for any low-hanging or damaged power lines. Members of the public are advised to stay clear of any such hazards and report them immediately to ESB Networks for safety reasons.
Meanwhile, financial assistance has been provided to those impacted by the storm. To date, around 5,700 payments—totaling nearly €1.2 million—have been issued under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme (HAS). The average payout per claim stands at €210.
