IKEA has announced the expansion of its click-and-collect service at Tesco Ireland stores, adding seven new locations across six counties.
The collaboration between IKEA and Tesco aims to improve accessibility to IKEA products while offering a more sustainable delivery option. The new collection points will be available at Tesco stores in Louth, Westmeath, Kerry, Wicklow, Mayo, and Dublin.
Customers can collect their IKEA orders for free on purchases over €200, while orders below this threshold will incur a €15 collection fee.
Following a successful pilot in Cork, Louth, and Kildare in May 2023, IKEA reported "phenomenal engagement" with the service, leading to its expansion to 21 locations nationwide. The newly added collection sites are in Dundalk, Mullingar, Killarney, Arklow, Bray, Castlebar, and Liffey Valley.
When placing an online order, customers can select the click-and-collect service at their preferred Tesco location. Clear signage in the Tesco car parks will direct them to a designated pick-up point at their chosen time, where a delivery driver will hand over their order.
IKEA’s Market Manager for Ireland, Jayne Owen-Gauld, welcomed the expansion, highlighting its convenience and sustainability benefits for customers.
“The positive reception has been fantastic, resulting in us expanding the service to seven more communities. Coupled with our free delivery option for orders over €200, we’re making shopping with us easier and more rewarding than ever.”
Tesco Ireland country operations manager Darrin Honer said: “We’re pleased to expand our partnership with Ikea Ireland to introduce new pickup points in more of our car parks across the country.
