Zelensky Ready to Work Under Trump’s ‘Strong Leadership’
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described his recent heated meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump as “regrettable” and admitted that it “did not go the way it was supposed to.”

Despite the tense exchange, Zelensky has signaled Ukraine’s willingness to cooperate under Trump’s leadership, particularly in negotiating a peace deal to end the war with Russia.

"Ukraine is ready to work under President Trump's strong leadership," Zelensky stated, adding that his government is also prepared to finalize a minerals deal with the United States.
This latest development comes after Trump paused U.S. military aid to Ukraine, citing concerns that Kyiv was not fully committed to pursuing peace. The shift in tone from Zelensky suggests an effort to mend relations and secure continued U.S. support amid growing geopolitical uncertainty.
